New for oil and LPG homes

Heating with oil or LPG? The grant rises to £9,000.

In April 2026 the government announced a temporary uplift to the Boiler Upgrade Scheme for homes in England and Wales that currently run on heating oil or LPG. From 21 July 2026, those homes can claim £9,000 towards an air source or ground source heat pump, instead of the standard £7,500. It is aimed at rural, off-gas-grid households and is expected to run until spring 2027.

The uplift is a temporary measure and the final scheme rules are still being confirmed by government. We check exactly what your home qualifies for during your free survey and apply it straight to your quote.
