Will it work with the period features of my home?

Yes, with the right design. We have completed heat pump installations on Victorian and Edwardian properties, Grade II listed homes and conservation-area buildings in north Hertfordshire. The trick is honest room-by-room heat-loss calculation, careful plant-room placement and sometimes a higher flow-temperature unit like the Mitsubishi Ecodan QUHZ. We will tell you up-front if your property is a poor candidate.

How will the outdoor unit look?

That depends on you. The standard install puts the unit on a bespoke plinth (stone, hardwood or concrete), with an anthracite louvred enclosure, brushed steel surround or timber slatted screen. Pipework is chased into walls or run via soffits, never visible across an elevation. Many of our installs are not visible from the street view of the property unless you choose for them to be.

Can it integrate with my existing smart home?

Almost always. We handle Tado, Hive, Nest, Apple Home and Google Home as standard. On larger projects we have done full Modbus and KNX integration. The heat pump should talk to the rest of the home, not stand apart from it.

How does it run alongside or replace my existing system?

Either is possible. A monobloc heat pump can replace the boiler entirely, or sit alongside it in a hybrid arrangement for the coldest days. We will design the right approach after the survey, based on your home, your insulation level and how you live in the property.

What happens with the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant?

We complete the Ofgem application on your behalf. You sign a short declaration during the survey and the £7,500 is deducted from your final invoice. You never touch the paperwork.

Will it work with the period features of my home?

Often yes. We survey the existing radiators and pipework and design the system around what stays, including listed-building constraints where applicable.

Do I need bigger radiators?

Sometimes. A proper survey tells you which rooms, if any, need upgrading. Most retrofits change two to three radiators at most.
